Promethean: The Fine Arts Society of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College is proud to announce that though this year was like a roller coaster ride but we managed to do well because of the opportunity we got from college, guidance we got from our teacher incharge and our hardworking members. 

It feels immense pleasure when we recall our work which we did this year. It is rightly said that after the design is firmly fixed, decoration is added; Decorating is the final enhancement. And yes our society worked for this, whole year our society initiated and made our college look more attractive for the series of events such as Bhagat Singh Jayanti, our annual cultural fest- Dastaan through it’s amazing decoration. Not only we are good at decor but on the auspicious occasion of Bhagat Singh Jayanti we also inaugrated a painting depicting Bhagat Singh and presented a portrait as a token of love to our hounorable Chief Guest _____.

The Utility Store set up by our society in The English Society’s Fest gained a lot of appreciation. Handmade things attract more, so we tried to make and sell many useful items which was made by our society members. Things such as diaries, bookmarks, paper weights, etc. were demanded a lot and the feedback we received was overwhelming.

Also this year in our annual cultural fest- Dastaan, we the Prometheans have organised many events such as Sadakchap, Baggit, Hat-Foramt, Around the campus, and got an amazing participation. Not only our events were a great success but also the college decor was amazing. We hosted an exhibition themed – Bachpan, in which we tried to depict all our childhood memories through our canvas. The paintings on display were painted by the individual artist of our society.

Our society also made the college proud by representing it in various inter-college art competitions. We baaged many prizes in Rangoli making competition, Dress designing, Doodling at various colleges such as Dyal Singh College, PGDAV, Lady Irwin, and many more.

Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and believe in yourself, vision, hardwork, determination and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe. This is the motive of our society and with this we will always be making our college proud.
