A special admission drive was conducted by Delhi School of Journalism on Friday (August 24) for admission of reserved category candidates into Five Year Integrated Programme In Journalism (FYIP).
The admission process was held from 24 August at Room no. G-4 University Sports Complex.
Candidates needed to have all the documents including Class 10 , Class 12 marksheet and other related certificates before appearing for the admission process . Last date for the submission of application fees is till August 25 before 12 noon .
As informed , five seats vacant are available for the students who want to pursue Journalism in English medium , and eleven seats available for the students who want to pursue Journalism in Hindi Medium ( eight for the SC , ST , candidates and three for the OBC category candidates ).
Last year , Delhi University introduced journalism as a five year integrated programme in two languages – English and Hindi – at their newly established Delhi School of Journalism. The courses gives an option of leaving the college to the students after three years with a bachelor’s degree in their hands . Those who continue and complete the two years , they will be given Masters in Journalism Degree .
An entrance exam is conducted by the exam authority for this course including questions concerning general knowledge , current affairs , analytical and comprehension skills.
The entrance is designed in a way that it can be attempted easily by the Class 12 students . In this course 30 seats are fixed for general category students , 16 to OBC , 9 to SC , 5 to ST , 3 to PWD , CW and foreign students
