SC to hear plea against Final year Exams on 27 July

The Supreme Court will hear plea challenging UGC latest guidelines to conduct final year exams on July 27, monday. The bench will be headed by justice Ashok Bhushan.

The petition filed by 31 students from 13 states and 1 union territory and one student is also COVID-19 positive. The plea demands to scrap final year exam’s and award marks on previous performance and internal assessment.

According to University Gran

t commission (UGC), 603 universities have either conducted final examination or are planning to conduct before 30 September. UGC have given choice to adopt 3 modes of examination (Online/ offline/ Blended).

Along with this, SC will also hear two more similar petitions demanding cancellation of final year exam’s filed by Yash dubey, Law student and Aaditya Thakrey, Yuva Sena leader.
