Even as the deputy chief minister and education minister Manish Sisodia wrote a letter to the Delhi University vice-chancellor on violations by the acting principal of Satyawati (Evening) College on Tuesday, Vijay Shankar Mishra said he has not violated the university statute in calling the governing body meeting.

According to him, the university has not accepted the election of the chairman of GB.

According to Mishra, Pankaj Gaur had held the meeting and he did not attend it. “The university had in October sent a letter stating that there is no chairman of the GB. After the meeting on July 10 there were complaints against the election, and the university had not accepted the election,” said Mishra. “But on November 27, they held a meeting and took decisions. So being a member secretary I called a meeting,” said Mishra.
