In the spike of COVID-19 cases in our country, student’s have approached panjab High Court few weeks ago challenging the decision of panjab university to conduct final year exam’s.
UGC directed universities across india to conduct finla year exam’s and it is a compulsion for all final year students to give exam. High Court have passed an order and asked panjab university to inform the feasibility of promoting student’s on the basis of previous semester average.
During the hearing, Justice Ritu Bahri said that the varsity could consider the issue of conducting final year examination, keeping in view the decisions taken by other universities throughout the country.

There are more than 200 colleges under panjab university and many student’s who are not from panjab are in there hometowns and it is not possible for them to travel back for the sake of one exam.
The university will conduct a meeting in the coming week with the officials to discuss the matter in brief. on the other hand all eyes are on Supreme court hearing on Monday, 27th July, 2020.
If Supreme court orders something in the favor of student’s then the whole dynamics of all cases will change.
