Exams delayed offers revoke

New Delhi : Delhi University has already postponed there open book exams (OBE) twice and again DU have announced a new date for OBE. Exam’s to commence from 10 August and conclude on 31 August.

Delay in final year exam’s will definitely effect large number of student’s. Many student’s are not able to join placements and companies have no choice left other than to revoke job offers.

A country where unemployment rate is already high, our government is creating creating more unemployment if this keeps going on. Many student’s have applied to foreign universities and have got acceptance as well but unfortunately student’s need to deffer there admission to next intake because of delay in the results.

Why such issues are raising

Due to Lockdown, Universities have postponed there exam’s until further notice. Circumstances forced colleges and universities too c onduct exam’s online. But, online exam’s will not be feasible for many because of less technological infrastructure.

Since, most of the universities are going on with the Online exam’s, stress and anxiety among the student’s is on top. Student’s start approaching courts in hope to get justice.

Delhi high court hearing is in process from past many days, next hearing will be on 27 july, 2020. The case is also going on in the Supreme Court of India. The hearing for which is scheduled on Monday, 27 July.

Solution to this issue

Thousands of student’s across india are fighting for justice and the only solution which can be implemented by UGC is to Scrap final year exam’s and make it an option for students.

Grades will be given on previous semesters average. Those who are not satisfied with the marks obtained can appear again in the offline mode.
