NEET and JEE Exam postponed to September

In order to ensure social distancing and safety of students, the Union Human Resources Development Ministry has decided to postpone the entrance exams NEET (National Entrance Cum Eligibility Test) and JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) to September.

Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union HRD Minister has officially released the dates for these medical and engineering entrance exams on his Twitter on Friday. The NEET exam will be held on 13th September, JEE advanced examination will be held on 27th Sept and JEE main examination is scheduled between 1st-6th September.

The Minister also mentioned that students’ health is the first priority then comes education. Earlier these exams were scheduled for the month of July and August but the rise in COVID-19 cases in the country led to further postponement.
