New Delhi : The Supreme Court in the last hearing directed UGC to file its reply on all the petitions against conducting Final year exam’s in India by 29 July, wednesday.
According to advocate Alakh alok, UGC is likely to file its reply tomorrow over final year exam’s. UGC mentioned in the revised guidelines that it is a compulsion for all universities under UGC to conduct final year exams by 30 september.
The decision was challenged by many petitioners in High Courts and Supreme Court. Delhi High Court along with Bombay High Court will also hear the matter on 31 July, both the courts are waiting for the SC judgement.
SC will hear the matter on july 31 and according to advocate alakh alok, Supreme court will not delay the verdict. The top court is going to put the date of next hearing on 10 August, but Alakh alok requested SC and explained the urgency of this matter due to which SC have decided to hear this on July 31.

Many Final year student’s may get relief if the final verdict will be in favour of Student’s. It may also expected that SC can order UGC to revise guidelines again or make it optional for universities.
In that case universities can evaluate student’s according to their choice and states can cancel exams due to spike in covid cases.
