DU is currently looking for Assistant Professors to fill the vacancy in different departments of colleges.For this DU already advertised the post on its official website. Candidate who want to apply for the post of professor in DU have to submit their application in the month of July 2018.

Candidates have to be eligible in the following criteria :-
1) Good academic record with at least 55% marks at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from Indian or equivalent foreign University.
2) Candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) .
[Note above eligibility criteria is not implied on M.Ed , Business Management or Music like subjects.]
Basic Guidelines regarding the merit system for recruitment are as follows :-
-) A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the Graduate and Masters level for the
SC/ST/Differently-abled /OBC (Non-creamy layer) categories
-) A relaxation of 5% may be provided to those who have Ph.D degree prior 19 September , 1991.
-)The time taken by the candidates to acquire M.Phil. degree and the residency period prescribed for pursuing Ph.D. shall not be considered as teaching/ research experience .
DU have not disclose the age limit regarding this matter.
Final Procedural step for recruitment after the merit is the interview screening. Candidate have to appear for the interview after that only it is determine that they are selected or not.
