DU receive a great response this year admission process in first cutoff

Students flooded the large number of seats on the second day of the first cutoff. According to the registration recorded , total 15 thousands seats are already filled in first cutoff . Which is prove to be the record breaker of the last year admissions in first cutoff.
Surprisingly colleges having the highest cutoff are filled up the most like Hindu College, Ramjas College, Gargi College For Women, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College and Shaheed Bhagat Singh College etc.

There are up to 600 candidates enrolled for admission in Hindu College where total 752 seats available . Among them 36 seats of Bsc physics (hons) are already occupied which have the highest cutoff in science courses this year. The most popular course for which Hindu college receive the large amount of admission is Political honours course , in which general and OBC categories seats are already full.

But in general courses like BA (Programme) and BCom (Honours ) witness more registration among which Political science occupy the third largest seat. Follow by History Honor and B.Com Program courses.

“There was a massive rush today. We have received over-admissions in Statistics (Hons). As the other category seats will have to be filled, the total number of seats might go above 752. St Stephen’s is yet to conduct interviews, so a marginal drop in cut-off is expected,” said Anju Srivastava, principal of Hindu College.

Not only Hindu College but other colleges like SRCC, Aryabatta College and other colleges also receive a great response . Where Aryabatta college principal state that “Since we have to fill all seats, even one seat remaining leads to lowering of the cut-off. This year, the cut-offs are realistic and may or may not fall depending on the number of students who come to take admission,” .

It is clear that this year the competition is quite rough and edge to edge.
Second cutoff is expected to be released on 24 th June midnight. The admission process for second cutoff will start from 25 to 27 June .
From the response of the first cutoff , it is expected that there will be the fall up to 0.25 to 3 percentage . But the popular courses cutoff may only fall up to 0.25 percentile.

Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) principal Simrit Kaur told that “the dip in cut-off in the two sought after courses of the college – BCom (Hons) and BA Economics (Hons) – won’t be more than 0.25 percentage points, and she also said for BCom (Hons), the second cut-off is likely to be 97”.
According to admission staff the rush on the second cutoff will be huge .
