Kirori Mal College, an institution of academic excellence, established in 1954, that has always strived to, and successfully maintained its place as one of the finest within the University of Delhi. There are 21 Undergraduate Programs including 15 Honours courses in 19 Departments in the college. It is the only college in University of Delhi which offers B.Sc (Program) Analytical Chemistry at the Undergraduate level.

Kirori Mal College has an excellent teaching faculty. Most of the teachers have got atleast 20- 30 years of experience while there are a few with new recruitments who need polishing. Faculty to student ratio is pretty less.As a result it enjoys a great academic record.The delhi university toppers across various courses are from kirori mal college.
Past Placement Record:
There are more than 150 students placed during the year with companies like Mackinsey and E&Y acting as the mass recruiters. The highest package was around 18 lakhs per annum, and the lowest was about 3 lakhs per annum, and the average package offered was around 4.5 lakhs per annum.
Weekly around 3 internships were provided to the students, and Oberoi hotels offered INR 22,000 as the maximum stipend.

Sports:
The college provides facilities for hockey, cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, basketball, athletics, boxing and chess. Kirori Mal College has a spectacular history in sports. It holds the record for having won five first positions in a single year (including three major games) in Delhi University Inter-College tournaments, and of once having been awarded the coveted Vice-Chancellor’s Trophy for being the best All Round College. Year after year, we have provided outstanding players to Delhi University, Delhi State and the junior India teams in several games. The college provides facilities for Hockey, Cricket, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Basketball, Athletics, Boxing and Chess. Students wishing to participate in any of these sports/games should enlist with Dr. Pramod C. Sharma, Teacher-in Charge, Department of Physical Education, at the beginning of the academic session. This year the department is ready with a sports ground of standard developed by the Commonwealth Games 2010 Organising Committee with a complete Facility Block, which will be a great boon to all sports students. This will include a standard arena for indoor activities such as Chess, Table Tennis, etc.
Infrastructure:
The infrastructure of the college is quite impressive. All the facilities like Wi-Fi, library with useful books, well-maintained playground, gym facility for students, There are common rooms for boys and girls in their respective hostels separately for watching tv or playing indoor games. The classrooms were neat and clean with projector facilities, and all the physics labs are equipped with modern equipment which facilitates smooth learning. There are around 5-6 computer labs with all facilities and also free printing facilities for students. A well-furnished canteen is also there on the college campus which is renovated last year. The food quality is quite okay as compared to outside food. The hostel rooms are also in good condition as they were also renovated last year, but only few who scored high marks get the hostel facilities. There is also well-furnished auditorium and seminar hall in the college for conducting different programs. In my opinion, the infrastructure of the college is quite nice for a healthy learning environment..
Reasons which pull back the college:
The college lacks a good auditorium as the previous one was damaged due to fire.Also, the science department is not that developed and students of that department find it difficult to have a good job. The canteen fails to provide good quality food as compared to outside food.The management team is also quite lazy and it takes time to get some official work done.
