DU to release its second special cut off for vacant seats today: Admissions 2021

The varsity will release its special cut-off today in order to fill out the vacant seats that remained vacant even after 5 cut-off lists and a special drive cut-off. The new session for freshers of UG programs had begun, however, there are some seats left for admissions in various courses in different colleges.

74,667 students had secured admission up until the fifth cut-off. The colleges will publish a merit list and approve candidates based on available seats. If there are still open seats, students can apply during the second special drive, which will take place on November 25 and 26. Colleges will post the merit list on their websites, and candidates will have until 5 p.m. on November 30 to make payments.

There will be no movement allowed during the special drive. Candidates who have secured admission in any of the earlier five cutoffs (including Special cut-off 1) will not be allowed to participate in the Special Drive – II, which means candidates who are already admitted in any Program, in any College of University of Delhi, will not be eligible to participate in the special drive. Hence, cancellation options for candidates will be suspended during the special drive,” the university said.

If the number of individuals applying for a given program at a college exceeds the number of available seats, universities will create a merit list based on the best of four/three subjects necessary for the program. The college will only approve a candidate based on merit and the availability of seats. According to the criteria, the list of accepted candidates will be posted on the respective college’s website.

The special cut-off list is expected to be released today by 1 pm.
