1. THE ECONOMICS SOCIETY, SRCC

The Economics Society, SRCC was formed during the early 1970’s and over the years has carved a reputed legacy for itself. Its objective has always been to foster social and intellectual activity among students and in particular, to develop in them an interest in the study of economics.

For the accomplishment of the same it conducts not just seminars and group discussions but holds a pan India Economic Festival ‘Ecostasy’ and ‘Shri Ram Economics Summit’, releases its monthly newsletter and an annual journal which makes it one of the most active societies in college

2. THE ECONOMICS SOCIETY, ST. STEPHENS COLLEGE

The Economics Society, St. Stephen’s College is one of the most prestigious and preeminent societies dedicated to promotion of Economics in the country.

There mission is to Expanding knowledge of Economics by taking it outside the classroom through guest lectures, discussions, debates, simulation games, etc.

3. THE ECONOMICS SOCIETY, HANSRAJ COLLEGE

Hansraj college is one of the most prestigious college in North campus, Delhi university, not only because of good faculty, also because of societies. The Economics society of Hansraj college was founded in 2013 and in these 5 years the society organized many great events which witnessed huge audience from many colleges. This happens only because of their hardworking team members.

4. THE ECONOMICS SOCIETY, KIRORIMAL COLLEGE

The society aims to cater to all the students with an interest in Economics, complement and supplement our economic acumen and provide an outlet for intellectual debate, and discussion on any issue related to Economics, outside the realm of Classroom lectures. Our society regularly hosts various academic and social events and publishes its annual magazine-OIKOS.

The Economics Society of KIRORI MAL COLLEGE aims to organize academic and corporate-based events that will engage undergraduate students in fruitful discourse over current global conundrums. We believe that the need of the hour is for young leaders to interact, exchange ideas and collaborate to produce effective solutions to key challenges that India’s policymakers grapple with.

5. THE ECONOMICS SOCIETY, SSCBS

The Economics society of S.S.C.B.S. strive to achieve excellence in and spread the knowledge of Economics, not only among the students of their college, but to anyone who is associated in the subject of economics. They don’t emphasize on the Economics curriculum given in your syllabus booklets, but they think beyond. By talking about how Economics impacts their everyday life in a comprehensive and easy-to-digest manner, they make Economics fun to understand, learn and apply.

6. THE ECONOMICS SOCIETY, SGGSCC

Arthashastra is the Economics society of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, Delhi university. It focuses on developing economic skills by conducting various events. The society organizes various event throughout the year which witnessed a lot of crowd every year from all over the university. There hardworking team is giving their best for the success of society and organizing more successful events in the future.

7. THE ECONOMICS SOCIETY, MOTI LAL NEHRU COLLEGE

They formally call themselves, “Wirtschaft” where they aim to pave a path beyond the regular economics around them and rummage through the myriad of unknowns delving themselves with the plethora of knowledge surrounding around. “Wirtschaft” being one of the most active and playful society of the college works together to bring in new motivational as well as bright changes among the students by involving their participation in various kinds of activities. It assigns designations to students and we function as one to bring about successful outcomes. This doesn’t just let people showcase their skills but also surface out their hidden talents holding on to great achievements with time which includes having the best cricket team in the college and bagging respected positions in different events making the each and everyone an all rounder.

8. THE ECONOMICS SOCIETY, KALINDI COLLEGE

Kalindi College Economics Society (KaCes) had a momentous academic year this time with a multitude of events being organized throughout the year. The society had a grand opening ceremony on the 20 th September 2017.New members of the department were welcomed whole heartedly. Not only this, an informative lecture on “Career Options for Young Graduates” was delivered. On 3 rd November 2017, the investitures ceremony took place where the new office bearers took an oath and sealed their given set of formal responsibilities.

Also, an insightful lecture was delivered on the topic-“Personality Development” A seminar on Stock Markets was conducted to promote financial literacy. The seminar was conducted in association with BSE and gave the students an essence of the fascinating world of stock markets in India and abroad.
