Students forced to vacate hostels at Panjab University

On Friday, as many as 150 Panjab University students who stayed in
campus hostels were left in lurch after being ordered by university administration to vacate the premises.

Students shared their disappointment at the change by the varsity and protested for over six hours outside the office of vice-chancellor Raj Kumar. The protesting students even tried to reach the office but security guards were not permitted to do so.
In a circular released by the welfare of dean students (DSW), resident
s of hostels belonging to Haryana, Punjab, UP, and other regional stat
es were advised to vacate the hostels immediately.
