SRCC Students Steps Forward In Times Of Distress

As the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread fear and anxiety across the whole nation, communities are struggling hard for their survival. As per the reports, over 2 lakh lives have been claimed by COVID-19 pandemic due to lack of oxygen supply.

 

With a massive shortage of oxygen supplies and an enormous pressure on the healthcare system, the time calls for dynamism. In these time of distress, young students of Delhi University’s Shri Ram College of Commerce have step forward to carry out work in the field of covid relief.

 

The SRCC students have intitated an online campaign to raise money for building up an oxygen plant at COCVID care center. The fundraiser campaign aims to raise ₹35,00,000. With their hardwork, they have successfully raised ₹3.45 lakh till date.

 

The students joined hands with Doctor For You, an organization working hard to help and provide aid to the needy, to amplify their work and voice.

 

The online post of the fundraiser campaign read,
“Therefore, our primary objective would be to supplement their efforts by funding the establishment of an oxygen plant. We plan to set up an oxygen plant which can produce 150 litres of oxygen per minute and can serve around 20-30 beds at a time. It is to be set up at the Commonwealth Games Centre, which has been converted into a 500-bed free-of-cost covid-care facility and is primarily handled by Doctors For You.”
