Rajput, 34, was found dead on Sunday, at his home in Mumbai.
In 2003, the actor had enrolled at DTU, then known as Delhi College of Engineering, but dropped out to pursue his showbiz dreams in three years’ time.
Although Rajput made it big on TV and in movies, he never forgot his alma mater.
He had last visited DTU in 2019 following the release of his film Chichore. The actor had posted a video of the social media visit in which students were mobbing him, but with a smile he greeted them and obliging them with selfies.
The university had plans to publish a special booklet on Rajput listing his accomplishments, said the VC, adding that in the first round DTU had published four booklets on its famous alumni.
