An american civil rights activist and free agent football quarterback, Colin Kaepernick will be the narrator and executive producer of a six episode Netflix drama series focusing on his youth and high school years.The writing of his series titled as “Colin in Black and White’ got completed in May and the filming may start later this year.

The drama will basically revolve around the Colin Kaepernick high school experience as an African-American child, being adopted by a white family and his subsequent experiences of social discrimination and racial injustice while growing up that led him to become the activist he is today.
“Too often we see race and black stories portrayed through a white lens,” Colin Kaepernick said in a statement. “We seek to give a new perspective to the differing realities that Black people face. We explore the racial conflicts I faced as an adopted black man in a white community, during my high school years.”
He also mentioned that it’s an honour to bring these stories to life in collaboration with filmmaker Ava DuVernay for the world to see.
