This year IIM Ahmedabad has reserved 10 seats for the economically weaker section (EWS) candidates as per the guidelines of ministry of human resource development (MHRD) . For PGP (post graduate program) this year 395 candidates are given the admission offer and for PGP- FABM (post graduate program in food and agri business management) 47 candidates are selected. 

The admission process of IIM Ahmedabad wasn’t affected with the whole pandenic situation. The candidates were selected on the basis of their CAT score, personal interview and application rating. They plan to begin the next academic year in August 2020.

The result of CAT 2019 was declared on January 4, 2020 and even the personal interviews were conducted face to face. The selected candidates list was released May 8 onwards. CAT 2019 got highest registrations of candidates in the last 10 years.
