The day after the announcement by UGC to give autonomy to more than 60 universities and 8 colleges, Delhi University lecturers has came together to protest against it.
After the 5 day strike by DU Lecturers, Students, Karamchaaris, and DU Alumni, a protest March is going to be held from Mandi House to Parliament Street on Wednesday, 28th March, 2018.
The strike has been against Autonomy, Anti-Reservation Roster, Loan Funding, Pay Revision and many more other issues which threatened the foundations of public funded Higher Education.
The President of the Delhi University Teachers’ Association (DUTA), Rajib Ray, has launched an online petition against the Privatization of Education, which is going to be handed over to Narendra Modi.
The petition had been launched four days ago on change.org, where around 20,305 supporters has already signed it. They need a total of 25,000 signatures to move forward with it.
