DU releases special drive cutoff 2021

The varsity released the special drive cut-off for admissions in UG courses.  Candidates who were eligible for admission in the previous cut-off lists, including the special cut-off list, but did not apply for the admission or canceled the process can only apply against the special drive cut-off list.

Admissions in top colleges are mostly closed for all courses, with the exception of Gargi College, which has invited applications for B.Com honors and BA Economics Honors at 96.25 percent and 97 percent, respectively, and Kirorimal College, which is only open for Hindi (H) at 90% and Lady Shri Ram College, which is only open for English (H) at 96.50%.

Aryabhatta College has set a 91% cut-off for BA (Hons) English and a 94% cut-off for BCom. Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College has established a cut-off of 90% for BA (Hons) Economics and 90% for BA (Hons) History.

“Candidates who have secured admission in any of the earlier Five cut-offs (including Special Cut-off) will not be allowed to participate in the Special Drive…cancellation options for candidates will be suspended during the Special Drive,” the notification said.

“In case the number of candidates applying for a particular Program in a college is more than the number of seats available, colleges will make a merit list as per the Best of Four/Three required for the Program. The college will approve the Candidature only on the basis of merit and availability of seats. The list of approved candidates will be uploaded on the respective College website,” it added.

In the event of a tie for a seat, the applicant with the highest percentage of marks (best five subjects, including one language) in the qualifying test would be considered for admission. If the tie cannot be broken, the candidate having the earlier date of birth on the Class 10 certificate will be selected for admission.

The last date for the payment of fees against special drive cut-offs is November 19.
