New Delhi : Delhi High Court on Friday pronounced the order on plea challenging the Delhi University decision to conduct OBE. Delhi University to commence OBE from August 10.
HC allows university to go ahead with the open book examination with certain conditions. One of the condition is related to the total time given to students for submitting answers.
4 hours for Students
Delhi university to provide a total time of 4 hours to all Regular/ NCWEB/ SOL students. 3 hours will be given to write answers and 1 hour will be allotted to submit answer sheets.
6 hours for PWD students

Delhi high Court directed university to provide 6 hours for PWD students. HC also asked University to provide study material to them.
Delhi High Court agreed on the few facts that DU is not ready with the OBE but still HC give green signal. The HC don’t have authority at this point of time to cancel OBE because cancelling is something which is against UGC guidelines. Case against UGC guidleines is listed for August 10. HC cannot go against the Supreme court by cancelling OBE.
