The DUTA requested Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Prof Yogesh Tyagi to immediately intervene and take steps for Amitabh Sinha’s removal as well as withdrawal of the order served on   September 24  to the college principal.

However, there is  no word on the crisis in DSC administration as of date coming from DU’s VC, whose intervention , the college principal had sought as well, jumping into the row Shiromani Akali Dal leader  Manjinder Singh Sirsa has backed him demand  against Sinha by the BJP.

Bhartiya Janta Party affiliate, Sinha, is drawing flak for “meddling” into the administrative affairs of Dyal Singh College.

Sinha reversed the college election committee’s on September 18 ,  suspension order of newly elected college students’ union president Rohan Awana, who is associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

Sinha is also a Supreme Court lawyer, held a governing body’s meeting on Monday on the issue followed by issuing a notice to the college principal directing him to proceed on and  leave over allegations of administrative and financial lapses.

Rajouri Garden MLA Sirsa accused Sinha of targeting the college principal as the latter opposed his idea of changing name of the college’s evening branch to Vande Mataram Mahavidyalaya, an issue, which had become a flashpoint between the principal and the governing body ,  on which Sirsa too had last November approached HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar.
