DU Admission 2021: St. Stephen UG admission to begin from August 5

As per the recent official reports, St. Stephen College affiliated to University of Delhi will start its admission process of undergraduate courses from 5 August 2021. Aspirants who wish to study in St Stephen will be allowed to fill up the admission form till August 31.

Students from foreign who are interested in admission to St. Stephen’s College will have to register at the Foreign Student Registry (FSR) of the University of Delhi before filing an application for admission to the college. Interested foreign candidates will have to clearly indicate their FSR details while registering on the college portal.

St. Stephen is a Christian college which conducts its admission process on it’s own. Half of the total seats i.e. 50 percent of the seats are reserved for Christians students.

All the colleges under Delhi University admits its undergraduate students on the basis of cut offs, but St. Stephen has laid out it’s own set of rules for admitting students. The cut off released by St. Stephen is different from the overall cut offs of Delhi University. After that, admission is granted on the basis of three factors: 85 percent weightage is given for class 12 marks and 15 per cent weightage is given for both written tests and interviews.

However, this year there is no clarity if the written exams will be held or not. Last year, owing to the Covid-19 situation, the written exam was cancelled and the 15 percent weightage was entirely upon the interview. The college also cancelled sports trials for admission through sports quota in 2020.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the University of Delhi began the registration process for admission in PG, MPhil, and PhD courses. The registration process for UG admission will begin on August 2 after the announcement of CBSE class 12 results, which are expected to be announced before July 31.
