The Delhi University (DU) has invited application from private players for ‘Online Computer-based Entrance Test’. The bid is open for those interested in different courses for 18 cities all across India for the academic year 2018-19. The test will be to select undergraduate and all post-graduate, M Phil and Ph.D. courses.
The entrance exam will be held to grant admissions for selected under-graduate, all Post Graduate, M Phil and Ph.D. courses, a notice issued by the university said. All bidders will have to conduct the exam, handle its administration, logistics and process results and give it to the university, further clarified the notice.
After the criticism from students, Delhi University last year had decided to discontinue its decision to conduct the online entrance tests for its M Phil, Ph.D. and PG programmes as it felt conducting these along with the offline format was not feasible.
The notice also stated that the Question paper will have objective-type with multiple choice questions of two hours duration. The medium of the test would be English or Hindi or both and will be conducted in three shifts: 8-10 am, 12-2 pm and 4-6 pm. The last date of submission of the bid is March 8, and the bidder has to pay an earnest money of Rs 25 lakh.
