Delhi University will provide digital degrees to pass outs

Delhi University : There are many students who have graduated in the previous years but due to Delhi University vague issues, they have not received there degrees till now. In a relief to such students, DU will provide digital degrees to those who graduated up till last year.

Delhi University has released a separate portal for graduates where they need to send basic details. Students need to fill out qualification, course, college name. Once DU authorities verify the records, digital degrees will be issued within 1 week.

The court noted that DU is working out modalities with the officials of Digilocker to transmit all the data relating to degrees awarded by it to Digilocker within a time bound manner.

“Let the above measures and timelines thereto be placed on record by means of an affidavit by DU. Let an affidavit be also placed on record by MEITY/ Digilocker as to what are the steps that DU needs to take to ensure that the data is made available to the students through Digilocker,” the court said.

High Court IT team is involved helping Delhi University in setting up such a technical safe system. The degrees are awarded completely digital with the help of digilocker.

DU submitted that if any previous student is in need of an urgent digital degree, students can login. The degrees will be issued within one week. In case the portal is not working for any reasons, the details may be submitted on the e-mail addresses of joint director of DU Computer Centre Sanjeev Singh and Dean of Examination Professor Vinay Gupta
