Delhi University Student’s oppose Online Exams to start from 10th August

Many student’s and Teacher’s along with Student bodies are opposing the decision of open book examination because this method is not feasable for many student’s who live in rural areas or who don’t have infrastructure.

Delhi University in a High court hearing said that they will commence final year exam’s through OBE from 10th August, 2020 and will conclude all exam’s by 31st August, 2020.

“After repeated and unequivocal attempts of students across this country, University Grants Commission (UGC) and Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) remain adamant on conducting this farce of an online exam,” the students said in a statement.

Student’s also claimed that Mock test which were conducted by Delhi university from 4th July to 8th July were nothing but a mockery. On the other hand, Vinay Gupta Examination dean, accepts in front of the chief of Justice in High court that University was not ready to conduct exam’s on 1st July and then on 10th July.

High Court was also told by DU that those who will not be able to attend OBE for whatsoever reason will be given another chance for physical exam’s to be conducted in mid september. The Next Hearing for the case will be on 22nd July, 2020.
