AC & EC Members of AAD-UTF members wrote a letter to Sh Manish Sisodia, State Education Minister & demanded urgent action on the following issues. The text of the letter:
- Thousands of teachers and staff of the twelve Delhi Government (100% funded) colleges have not received their salaries from May onwards. Many of them have not received full salaries of earlier months also. Their medical bills and other bills are also stuck due to paucity of funds. The EMI Cheques of many of them have started bouncing back. Besides financial woes, they have also been undergoing tremendous mental stress. This irregular and insufficient release of funds is aggravating the pandemic situation for them. This undue delay in releasing the fund is hitting the teachers, students, staff and institutions very hard, rather than those who created this situation. Hence, we request you to kindly release the fund of these colleges without any further delay and giving top most priority.
- We have come to know that NSUT Administration is issuing notices to the teachers on the slightest pretext, which is unbecoming of a good democratic academic institution. We request you to restrain its administration from acting in authoritarian manner.
- Despite your announcement, NSUT is going ahead with end semester exams of intermediate semesters. NSUT is conducting in online OBE mode with merely changing the nomenclature. But, its substantive nature remains the same.
