Delhi University filed appeal against order on OBE for final year students

New Delhi : The University of Delhi has filed an appeal against the order passed by Single bench of Justice Pratibha M Singh. The order allows delhi University to go ahead with the OBE with certain conditions.

As Online open book examinations have already began from August 10. Delhi University has filed against the order today and the matter will be listen before a division bench this week.

The appeal is against the certain directions given by the Single Judge with respect to the constitution of a Committee under the aegis of a retired High Court judge, continued monitoring of OBE etc.

While controlling ceaselessly from challenging the UGC rules which made it mandatory for universities to conduct a “time boundation” assessment for final year students.

Counsel for the students had eagerly contended that OBE was infringing upon their privileges ensured under Articles 14, 16 and 21 of the Constitution of India.

In any case, remembering the huge arrangements that had attempted by students for giving the online OBE. The Court esteemed it fitting to just fret about the way in which online OBE could be smoothed out.
