On Friday, a DU’s law aspirant alleged that she was slapped by 2 ABVP members inside the university campus. Minutes after she posted her photo, it went viral on social media evoke angry reactions.
While posting the photo, Kawalpreet Kaur, the president of student AISA in Delhi University wrote that ABVP members in Kirori Mal College slapped and harassed her when she came to college. The guard vigorously heartened the ABVP when they assaulted her.
In the photo, Kawalpreet is seen in tears. This went viral in no time, stimulating reactions from thousands of users.
She later posted more details about her asserted attackers sharing the screenshots of their Facebook profile and persuading everyone to contact police since they were on the run.
This is not the first time that the DU has seen the assault committed by the members of the ABVP. In the past, the members belonging to ABVP had given anguish to aspirant activist Gurmehar Kaur while issuing her rape and death threats. Gulmohar, daughter of a Kargil martyr, had posted a video opposing war.
