Delay in Admission| Expected to start from 11th may

Delhi University’s much-awaited admission process for the Undergraduate (UG) for the upcoming academic session 2018-19 is expected to start on May 11. The university will conduct the registration process online in its official UG admission portal.Information regarding admissions will be uploaded on its official website du.ac.in.The UG admission portal which expected to start next week will continue for around one month and two weeks after the announcement of results by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for class 12.  According to reports, the CBSE may declare the results for the 11 lakh students appeared for the 12th board examination on May 26. Last year CBSE declared the class XII results on May 27.

According to the Delhi University data, a large number of students apply for the Undergraduate admissions are from CBSE board. So, the Varsity has created the portal with automatic software which will get the students marks directly from the CBSE database when the results will be declared. Aspirants, especially from the CBSE, are required to enter their roll number and other necessary details while filling the registration form. To  

make the admission process more student’s friendly than earlier, the varsity this year has integrated the admission portal of entrance based UG courses with the merit-based UG courses portal. Nine entrance based UG courses proved by the university Delhi. Till last year, the varsity had a separate portal for the entrance based courses.

The nine entrance based courses are Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), BA Business Economics , Bachelor of Business Administration (financial investment analysis), Bachelor of Science in Physical Education Health Education & Sports, BA (H) Multimedia and Mass Communication, B.Tech (Information Technology and Mathematical Innovations), BA (H) Music , Bachelor of Elementary Education.

The students are required to check the official website of Delhi University at du.ac.in twice a day to get the latest information on admission. More than 2 lakh students are enrolled with the University of Delhi.
