New Delhi : The Apex Court on Tuesday heard the plea challenging UGC guidelines. UGC clear its stand and stated that final year exams cannot be cancelled, but if states want it can be postponed.
As per UGC guidelines, Universities need to conduct final exams by 30 September. Supreme Court and SG Tushar Mehta observe the points and agreed to postponed the exams. He also added that UGC will not issue degrees if exams not happen.

The Court has recorded all the final arguments. SG also remarked that “The students are 21-22 year olds. Can you really believe that they will not be going out ?”.
