UGC to release guidelines for Final year Exams tomorrow

University Grant Commission (UGC) is going to release revised guidelines for Final year exams tomorrow i.e 1st July, 2020 as asked by all Universities across the nation.

On 24th June, 2020 MHRD minister requested UGC to re consider the earlier guidelines released for Final year exams in the month of April.

Many Universities have put the exams on hold or postponed namely Rajasthan University, UP Univeristy, Delhi University, IP Univeristy, and many more while some have already scrapped the exams.

Teacher’s Association and many student bodies like NSUI, ABVP, CYSS are protesting against the decision taken by universities and demand to scrap final year exams. In conversation with Universities, Officials will take final decision after UGC guidelines.

If UGC reccomend to scrap final year exams then universities across the nation will have choice to hold exam’s or not and if they asked universities to scrap exams then all Universities will cancel the upcoming Examination.

Final year students will get grades or marks on the basis of previous semester performance and Internal Assessment marks of the current session.
