As the Central Board of Secondary Education has announced that the class 12th examination stand cancelled this year, other boards also followed after and several states also announced the cancellation of the state board exams.
While ten of the states have decided that they will not hold Class 12 board exams this year, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. But majority of the states have not yet made any final decision.

Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu had earlier announced that the government will take decisions regarding HSLC and HS exams as soon as possible. Later,
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said a that the decision regarding Class 12 exams will be taken after the CBSE announce the method for the evaluation procedure.
Tripura government postponed class 10th and 12th board exams in May. Earlier, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that his message to the students is to remain prepared for the examinations. But the state did not make any recent announcement.
This year almost 3.18 lakh students will be appearing in the PSEB. The PSEB stated that they are ready with question papers and answer sheets have been made available but the exam dates are yet to be announced.
The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) postponed examinations for the second-year Intermediate students and is yet to make any final decision.
The Andhra Pradesh intermediate or Class 12 final exams are likely to be conducted in July but the Andhra government has not yet made any official announcement regarding the same.
The West Bengal Government has yet not taken any decision but it formed an experts committee to analyse how the exams can be conducted and evaluated during the ongoing pandemic. Earlier it was scheduled that the Madhyamik and HS examinations were to be announced on June 2 but CBSE’s decision to cancel Class 12 board exams, has put announcement on hold for a while.
Although a rumor was spread that the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has announced cancellation of the class 10th, 12th board exams but this rumor was false as the JAC has not yet made any official announcement.
