In the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) entrance examination a question on a Dalit community has led to an outrage among the backward communities on Saturday i.e 13th of October.
Hansraj Suman, The National Chairman of the All India Universities and Colleges SC, ST, OBC Teachers Association as well as a member of the Academic Council of Delhi University, has proclaimed that the question has hurt the sentiments of the community.
The examination is basically held to fill the post of teachers in Delhi schools and it is organised by the Delhi government itself.
He added to his statement showing his resentment that by asking such questions, what does the government want to do? To encourage caste-based discrimination among the teachers who will further teach such things to students? This is against the Constitution of India. By asking such a question, DSSSB is vitiating the environment.
He also shared some of the question papers in which it was mentioned in question number 69 or 71 on page 9. Every member of the community find these questions are hurtful. All members of the SC, ST and other backward communities are tremendously upset with the question which the board had asked in a state-level examination.” He also stated.
The point of all the discussion and grievances is that hurting some community sentiments is not what a government should do.
What is the indication of the government? What is the need of such questions? What made them do so? All these questions do arises from this act of government which is the matter of concern.
