TARANG is the annual cultural festival of Lady Shree Ram College for Women held every year. It is one of the most eagerly awaited festivals of Delhi University. Dedicated to the celebration of the skills and creativity.
TARANG transforms the campus into a veritable kaleidoscope of people who not only compete in various events but also enjoyed informal events, competitions, band performances, discussions and film screenings that are spread over three days. It is a stimulating event brimming with youthful dynamism.
TARANG is known for bringing together the best student talent from across the country in the field of music, dance, dramatics, debating, fine arts, photography, films, quiz and other areas of arts and culture. TARANG also incorporates a food festival, an amalgam of various cuisines and snack brands and hence a prime attraction at the festival. It also incorporates a Mini-Education Fest within TARANG as well as a host of new informal events such as the TREASURE HUNT, STREET DANCE, DRAMARAMA, CONFESSIONS OF A TATTOO, etc. to provide more variety and cater to the interests of one and all.
In 2018 ‘TARANG’ was celebrated on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of February, 2018. As a prelude to the festival LSR in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts presented a Sufi Qawwali by Yusuf Khan Nizami and his team on the 1st of February in the college auditorium.
Throughout all three days it is the best way to begin with the season of fests in DU with massive participation of students from colleges all over India. Hence, it is the festival of immense extravagance.
