Self-defence programme for DU girls

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad on Tuesday launched “Mission Sahasi” in order to teach self-defence to girl students of Delhi University.  A training camp will be organised in the North Campus and the South Campus on October 29 and October 30, the ABVP said.

The training will be followed by a demonstration on November 2.  After the launch of the poster in North Campus, DUSU joint secretary Jyoti Choudhary said, “Organising such events like Mission Sahasi, the girls will be empowered with self-defence skills.” ABVP national secretary Nidhi Tripathi said, “ The ABVP not just highlights issue but also works for a solution. With this mission, we will be able to play a key role towards women empowerment.”
