On Tuesday a plea was adjourned by HC regarding the disclosure of students who passed Bachelor of Arts course in 1982 under RTI act. The hearing is postponed to July 25 by Justice V. Kameswar Rao as DU’s Lawyer was in Gujarat to caste his vote in elections.

It’s the same year when Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi also cleared his exam. Advocate Trideep Pais, representative of RTI activists argued that convocation is a public event but DU is denying to disclose
the results of a particular year only. The petition was filed by varsity challenging CIC’s order allowing activist Neeraj to check the records. After getting a stay on the orders on 23 January 2017, the hearing was up on tuesday which is now adjourned till July 25. The University argues as the information is related to a third party so it can’t be revealed.
