
Delhi University admissions season is on in full swing. As per the information shared by the University, over 9,000 students have enrolled in the coveted affiliated colleges. The huge number of credit can be given to the talk of the town- DU Cut off 2019. With the alarming DU cut off 2019, it was expected less number of enrolments this year, however, it turns out the numbers are not likely to stop at the moment. This year Hindu College has recorded the highest cut off in B.A Political Science (H) at 99% for General category. According to Hindu College Principal Anju Srivastava, as many as 310 admissions were done on Friday. 31 students enrolled in the Political Science Honours course, adding there are only 43 seats available for the course. She also added most of the students enrolled in the Political Science (H) were from General category; therefore admission through general category may be closed for B.A. Honours in Political Science and B. Sc (H) in Physics and Chemistry.
Shri Ram College of Commerce is also said to follow the step footstep of Hindu College. As per reports, the college has filled almost 70% of the available seats in B.A Economics (H) with a cut of as high as 98.75% and 40% of seats have been filled in B. Com Honours.
As per media reports, Delhi University and its affiliated colleges are expected to close the 9500 of the 62,000 seats in undergraduate courses today. The news of seats filling at a rapid pace has got the aspirants worried, considering the DU 2nd cut off list is not yet out. Students who did not make in the DU first cut off list 2019 were hoping to secure a place in the 2nd cut off list; however, considering the current situation, it seems students will have to consider college other than their first preferred choice. The DU 2nd Cut off List 2019 is scheduled to be out on July 4, 2019. Students who did not make it to the first cut off list can check their status through the second cut off list.
