DU’s air quality is in red category which means severe conditions and it is harmful for people even breathing in it. Shubham Jain, a second year law student wrote to Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) regarding dust being everywhere. He wrote to them for getting roads outside ramjas college to be improved Delhi High Court has also told DPCC to immediately repair any cut or holes in roads for work as these are a major reason for air pollution caused but still a student was forced to write about it.

He wrote in the letter that roads in front of Ramjas College were cut down for laying Delhi Jal Board Pipelines and roads are not repaired from then and it’s been months.

Delhi govt. last year also announced that if  a road digging company fails to repair it in 15 days , fine will be imposed on them. He further added in his letter that these dust particles are getting mixed in air with vehicular pollution which is even making breathing difficult for passer-by specially students living in that area. After meeting environment activist Aditya
Prasad in an alumni meet he was motivated to write regarding the condition. He got the right guidance from Prasad to use all the remedies available to get a clean environment. Jain says he would try all the solutions available to get this done.
