Once again the delhi university’s activity is breath  taking for thousands of students who admire it and wanted to be its part. On Sunday Manipuri movie “HIYAI” was screened at Sri Shankar Lal hall at delhi university’s north campus. The film is  acknowledging the contribution of Hijam Irabot towards the development of manipur.He was a freedom fighter , a social Activist and was one of the founder of Communist Party of India and had won the manipur election in 1948.

The direction of movie was done by Herojit Naroimbam and ksh Ramesh has produced it. The cast includes Diya kshetrimayum, Denny likhmabam, Maya Choudhary, Devita Urikhimbam, Ratan lai , Soma Laishram and Aroba loitonjam. Basically film deals with the idea of  unconditional love of a child for his father who had left them alone before his birth. It is sort of a family drama which people are liking a lot. The screening has done by the football club kangla warriors and all the funds generated by the screening will be given to the football club for its development.

This was really a proud moment for all those manipur students who are living in delhi far away from their culture . They literally spent a good time through this activity . Even the actors also interacted with the students and enjoyed the manipuri cuisines with them. The lead actor Daya also thanked the director for his expert guideline which helped her a lot during the shooting.

Because of all such fun activities Delhi university stood up among all the universities and also fascinates students who wanted to be its part. The screening was literally an epic moment for all the people of Manipur who sometimes feel that they are not the part of India.
