Source : Banglore Mirror – Usually, Bangalore University (BU) declares results late. But this year, that has changed. The university declared the results for some of its engineering courses in less than 90 minutes of conducting the last exam. On Saturday, BU announced the results of final semester BE in Civil and Mechanical engineering streams.

Why the rush?

Many final semester engineering students were waiting desperately for the results as many of them had job offers in hand and have to submit their scorecard by September 15. A few others are also eyeing the public works department (PWD) posts for which September 16 is the last date to apply.

Hence, University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE, which is affiliated to BU) had to race against time, claimed the college’s principal HN Ramesh.

Ramesh told BM that final year exams were delayed this year due to the outbreak of covid-19. Then following the UGC’s guidelines, the theory papers were held on September 1, 3, 5 and 8 and the practicals began from September 9.
