Delhi University : Delhi High Court today directed Delhi University on several points. HC also argued and questioned Delhi University officials for Results, DU Final year exam’s and OBE.
Adv Dutta for DU informed the court that they will conduct physical exams from 20 September, 2020. Court objected and asked “Why not earlier?”. Dutta said “Univeristy need atleast 2 weeks for preparation after one week from OBE”
Court directs DU to start physical exams from 14 September
Delhi HC asked DU to utilise these 2 weeks of August for preparation and start physical exams for final years by 8 September. Univeristy officials argued and said that full staff is not available due to COVID-19. DU requested court to keep exam’s in mid September.
Delhi HC then directed Universities to conduct Final year exam’s physically from September 14. HC also questioned DU about OBE Results.
Univeristy informed that OBE results will be declared in end week of September. Court will discuss this in brief on 27 August.
DU to provide letters for Students going to study Abroad
Delhi HC noticed that there are many students who will suffer due to delay in results. Many final year students have enrolled for Foreign studies and are not able to go since Universities ask for results.
HC Directed DU to setup an e-mail which will provide students with a letter requesting concerned univeristy to extend deadline.
