On Wednesday, the last day of admissions after the release of second cut-off lists, were concluded. According to the officials, this time,Delhi University(DU) had crossed the 25,000 mark in admissions tally.
They further added that a total number of 4,003 admissions took place today whilst around 150 students withdrew their admissions.
In last two days over 10,000 admissions have taken place fulfilling about 26,291 seats out of 56,000 seats. And, so far around 3,203 students have withdrew their admissions.
Even after the release of second cut-off list on 24 June, multitudinous colleges did not notified their respective second cut-offs for a number of courses. At the same time, many leading colleges had closed their admissions as their seats were already filled when the first cut-off lists were announced on 19th June.
The admissions for various undergraduate courses at Delhi University started on 15 May. The registration ended on 7 June with varsity announcing their first cut-off list on 19 June.
According to an official, about 2,78,544 aspirants have made payments this year, in which, 1,44,248 are males, 1,34,297 are females and 29 other applicants. It’s anticipated that since the seats are filling at a fast rate, the cut-offs are going to face a minimal dip.
