The Vice President of India M.Venkaiah Naidu have told Delhi University officials to contnue with ECA quota admissions. Extra-Curricular Activities quota help talented student’s to take admission or get into DU through non academic fields by relaxing some percentage.
Member’s of Parliament and official Members of Delhi University were continuously writing against the issue. Mr. Naidu has also asked the university to take prompt action on finalising the examination calendar.
Mr. Naidu is also the chancellor of Delhi University and discussed the issues with the Pro Vice-chancellor and University deans in which he announced these remarks.
The Pro-VC and dean of colleges briefed the Vice President about various issues including the issue of ECA quota for admission to first year in the university and its affiliated colleges.
