New Delhi : The University of Delhi on Thursday released guidelines for the hostel residents. University allowed hostels to allow PHD scholars in phased manner.
Since very few students are staying in the campus due to ongoing coranavirus, University have asked authorities to minimize the cost. DU authorities have not specified any date in the guidelines released.
“The first preference may be given to senior PhD students followed by other PhD students in a phased manner. However, such residents will have to mandatorily self quarantine for 14 days in their rooms, following which they would be screened at the on-campus health centre,” notice says.

University also said that once the students have completed their quarantine period, they will be allowed to access laboratories. The hostels were also advised to not charge mess fees. However, students will have to pay 50% of the monthly electricity and water charges.
