Delhi University Online Examination Portal will not Crash

Delhi University : University of Delhi is one of the most prestigious university in India and for the first time University is going ahead with the Online Exams as a one time alternative to conduct semester exams for Final year students of all courses.

Since, every student and teacher is a witness about the technicalities which were faced by almost all users. Whenever result came, site got crashed. Recently, University of delhi released Date sheets and again the servers were down for almost 4 hours.

Yesterday, University started with the registration process for UG & PG Admissions 2020 and again the portal was crashed for almost 7 hours. Every time delhi university server got crashed and people are not able to fill the forms or download the results. Then how a university can go on with the concept of online exams which is completely new for University, Students and teachers.

Why Delhi University portal crashed?

Usually, University websites got a huge number of traffic on hourly basis and Delhi University being a prestigious university across India receive a large number of hits on daily basis. When Lakhs of students try to open something or visit a particular link puts a heavy load on that landing page because of which the server stop working and it got crashed.

Generally, it takes around 20-25 minutes to re run the server but sometime it can take upto 2 hours.

Since, server can only be affected with large number of viewers and if a particular page is getting less views or hits, it will not be affected and it will not be crashed. Delhi University is aware about this issue and they have planned for everything.

Date sheet was divided into 3 time slots and in every slot only 1-2 papers will be conducted which clearly means that portal will not get a huge number of traffic or viewers at the same time. This is the reason why examination portal will run smoothly with no crashing issues.

It will crash. Third year students should also be passed on internal assessment n previous year exam basis
