On Monday Night, Delhi University (DU) declared the first cut-off list for aspirants who are seeking for admissions in undergraduate programmes. Compared to last year, this year many colleges are increasing the required cut-off for various programmes.
Few off-campus colleges have diminished their cut-offs slightly.

This year, the highest cut-off for B.A. Prog at Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) is 98.75%. Last year, the cut-off for the same course was 95.5%. Lady Shri Ram College has also set their cut-off for B.A. (Hons.) Psychology at 98.25%.
Hindu College cut-off for B.A. English(Hons.), B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics and B.A. (Hons.) Economics at 98%. Hans Raj College has also decided its cutoff for B.A. Economics (Hons.) at 98%.

For B.A. Journalism(Hons.), there are high cut-offs this time likeĀ  Delhi College for Arts and Commerce (DCAC) asking for 98.5% and Kamla Nehru College and LSRĀ  asking for 97.75%.

Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) was the first to announce its cut-off list, for B.Com (Hons.) itsĀ  97.75% for admission and for B.A. (Hons.) Economics’s 98.5%. Last year, 97.75% is the cut-off for both courses.

Aspirants can change college/course once more when other lists will release, its the Delhi University advice for aspirants to take admission in a course of their choice only and secure their seat in the first list itself to avoid disappointment later.
This year, the fee payment will be done online as DU said that for students, it will be easier to change between colleges.

Steps to know the first cut-off list of DU:

Step 1: Go to the Official website of du i.e, http://www.du.ac.in/

Step 2: On the right side, you can see “Cut-off 2018- Undergraduate Admissions”.

Step 3: Now 2 stream name will show there namely, Arts & Commerce Cut off and Science Cut off.

According to your stream, you can click on that whether arts and commerce or Science cut-off.

Step 4: Now a pdf will appear, that’s the cut- off, you can check and accordingly go-ahead for the college and course for admission in DU.

What to do after cut-off released

Step1 : Applicants who have cleared the cut-off will have to log in to his/her portal

Step 2: Select the suitable course and college to create the admission application form.

Step 3: Go to college for admission with your original documents and self-attested photocopies. All list of a document is available on the DU portal. For document verification and approval of admission, the timings for morning college is 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and evening college is 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Step 4: After completing all formalities of college, the principal of that college will approve the application online.

Step 5: After that, there will be an option of fee payment on the dashboard of the candidate. Online payment may be done till noon of the next day of the deadline set for the cut-off in which aspirant is taking admission.

Step 6: Candidate has to pay the admission fee online only using link available in the dashboard.Ā  Once the fee is paid through that link, the admission process to that specific college is complete.
Aspirants looking for admission under the first cut-off list have time till June 21 to complete their all the admission formalities of the college.
The second list will be announced on June 25.
