New Delhi : Delhi University Open book examinations (OBE) is going to commence from august 10. Student’s have filed petition in High Court against various reasons, one of them is against DU OBE. Petition demands to Scrap OBE because is illegal as per law.
Division bench of Justice HIma Kohli and Justice Subramonium Prasad on Wednesday observed that students are not ready for DU OBE. The observation came when the division bench compared the data of 1st phase of mock test and 2nd phase of mock test.
The court has asked Delhi University to file an affidavit before August 17 stating the date of OBE results. The next hearing will be on August 17.

A total number of 1.83 lakh students registered for the first phase of mock test with around 93.1 thousand logging in and 33.1 thousand paper submissions. The second phase witnessed 1.86 lakh students registering with around 75.5 thousand logins and 23.6 thousand paper submitted, according to the report.
Delhi University also clear its stand on OBE in front of single bench of Justice Pratibha M singh. DU said that OBE is the best alternative for evaluation at this time.
It will not be possible for university to conduct physical examination because of a number of students. Adv sachin dutta also remarked that OBE is not a complete online exams, it is more blended mode.
The final order for the high court case against Delhi university OBE will be pronounced tomorrow morning at 10:30 Am.
