Delhi High court allows Delhi University to conduct OBE

Exams delayed offers revoke

New Delhi : The Delhi High Court on Friday gives green signal to Delhi University Open Book Examination (OBE) to commence from August 10. High Court directs Delhi University and UGC to follow some directions.

OBE to begin from August 10 for final year students will now not be postponed anymore. Delhi High Court directs University to allow 1 more hour to students fo submitting the answer sheets.

HC also asked university to provide nodal offers email to students, send question paper on the email as well as on portal and Results should be declared as early as possible.

“I wish the students and Delhi University all the best for the exams,” Justice Pratibha M Singh said. The court passed this verdict on the plea challenging Delhi University Open Book Examination .

OBE will be concluded by August 31 for all UG/PG courses. Delhi University officials also stated in the court today that they will be sending the answer sheets simultaneously to all concerned teachers for checking. This will ensure early results for OBE.

Supreme Court on Final year Exams

Supreme Court to hear plea challenging 6 July UGC guidelines for conducting Final year exams mandatory. The petition was filed by Additya Thakrey, Yuva sena and 31 students from different states.

SC to hear this matter on August 10, Monday. Delhi University OBE is going to commence from Monday itself. In any case SC pronounce orders in the favor of students, DU OBE might be cancelled right away.
