Shriram Trading Challenge 2021| How to Register
D-Street, Shri Ram College of Commerce, in collaboration with ICICI Securities, is
organising the ‘Shri Ram Trading Challenge’ from 13th to 24th September, 2021.
Founded in 1926, Shri Ram College of Commerce is one of the most prestigious institutions
in the country, granting undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Focused on providing
holistic education, SRCC encourages its students to actively participate in its plethora of
student societies.
D-Street SRCC is the only student-run stock-market oriented society in Delhi University. It
fosters social and intellectual activity among the students of the college and generates
awareness about various aspects in the field of finance, especially focusing on financial
markets. The primary objective of D-Street is generating value for its members and society
at large. D-Street publishes Annual Reports, fortnightly newsletters, equity research reports
on various companies, as well as financial models with its own unique formulae and
conducts several webinars and mind-boggling competitions for the purpose of spreading
financial literacy.
D-Street endeavours to encourage and enable students to indulge in creativity outside the conventional boundaries and to pique curiosity, while equipping them with the financial understanding that is essential for the 21st century.
Shri Ram Trading Challenge is an online mock-stock competition wherein the participants
will trade on a virtual platform provided by ICICI Direct, with virtual money, but with real
stocks and live price movements. They will construct a virtual portfolio over the period of two weeks and the teams with the highest portfolio value at the closing bell of the market on September 24 will be declared the winner. The participants will get certificates, while the
winners would be awarded with merit certificates and prizes worth INR 3.5 Lakhs along
with exciting rewards such as internship opportunities with ICICI securities, gift hampers
and many more.
